Earlier this year I gave it 89 pts. After having consumed three bottles at three different occasions during the summer, I am giving 91 pts. However, this vintage is clearly still a bit from 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011 which in my book are all in the 94 - 96 range.
Decanted 2.5 hrs. Deep dark red. Pleasant aroma of minerals, oak, subdued berries. Well structured aroma. Full body. Powerful, smooth, berries and minerals a bit “bumpy”, and not as elegant as the other vintages. Tannins are acceptable. Medium length aftertaste. 91 pts.
