Purchased 12 bottles back in 2011 and liked it at that time and actually gave it 92 pts. Kept the last two bottles in order to check how they aged. These two were consumed earlier this month with one week apart. Both showing similar way, and therefore this tasting note is for the two bottles combined. Score reduced from 92 pts to 87 pts.
Decanted 2 hrs. Deep purple red colour with a light rim. Aroma is fresh and fruity in a nice way, combining berries oak and minerals. Medium body. Taste is powerful and dominated by minerals/tannins and some fruit. A bit rough in style. Minerals and oak integrated with the fruit. Medium length aftertaste. Nine years seems to be too long for this wine. 87 pts.
