TN: 2011 Brunheda vinhas velhas Douro red

Decanted 2.5 hrs. Deep purple colour. Intense aroma of dark red berries, some oak, terroir, hint of dark chocolate and a sweet touch. Medium body. Taste is quite smooth at start showing berries, nice tannins and being well balanced acidity/sweetness. Minerals coming more and more from the middle part and out. Medium length aftertaste. On one side this wine has a lot to show, however to be a vinhas velhas I expect more depth in the wine, which amongst others include being a full body texture. 88 pts.
