Hi all!
When looking at Roy's article from some time ago:
http://www.wineloverspage.com/port/niepoort.phtml
middle of page quotes "Niepoort's Garrafeiras were produced only eight times of which I am aware: in 1931, 1933, 1940, 1948, 1950, 1952, 1967 and 1977".
I realized that IMHO at least vintage 1938 (not VP 1938) is missing - maybe also vintage 1967 - see below
http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/wine ... tails.aspx
http://www.garrafeiranacional.com/1967- ... porto.html
Anyone have additional infos and any info about the according rating/left impressions of any or each of the Garrafeiras is appreciated.
Thanks

1964. I have a half bottle that Dirk gave me and that he'd bottled only that day.

I have a whole bottle that I had shipped to Derek, he left for me at Davy's, and I carried home after the Port Harvest Tour. If you'd known it was at Davy's while we were having our tasting, would it have made it home with me?Daniel Jewesbury wrote:1964. A very long time ago I had a list of Niepoort's Garrafeira vintages. I'll see what I can find, but I suspect it was saved in an old work email account and so is probably lost. There were only 8-10 vintages on that list, though, so this list is probably accurate.

There is a 1938 Niepoort Garrafeira - no doubt about it. I haven't had the opportunity to sample it, but I have seen several bottles of it over the last couple of years.
