1985 Fonseca Vintage Port

Post by Eric Menchen »

Tasted blind. This is even darker than the previous two wines tasted (1985 Borges and Graham), and probably the darkest of any being tasted this day. Smells of juicy blackberry with a citrus background, and minty too. BAM! In the mouth, there are lots of tannins, lots of juice! Big juicy wonderful jammy berry … 95-96 points, take your pick, the numbers really don't matter. This is just great.
