2013 Pacheca Vintage Port

Post by Eric Menchen »

Incredibly strong assertive fruit aroma—reminds me of the Grahams’ special edition Six Grapes, which isn’t a good sign for me. Aromas of grape, grape stem, fresh eucalyptus, pine resin mixed into grape jam, and Christmas plum pudding—set it ablaze with some brandy! In the mouth, juicy, powerful, and tannic. This may have potential to be a great VP, but today this isn’t something I want to drink. I’d rather drink the 2009 LBV or the ruby reserve. 88 points. In the future, I would guess 92 points, but this could be anywhere from 88 to 95+ points.
