Vieira de Sousa 10 Year Old Semi-Dry White Tawny

Post by Eric Menchen »

(Semi-dry with 70 g/l residual sugar.) Initial aroma of honey and roasted cashews. Served chilled, the aroma is somewhat subdued. There is some brown-ripe pear too. In the mouth, this is quite young and fresh, refreshingly dry. The medium-light acid is also refreshing. There is a little spice character later, with cinnamon and some other dried spice, perhaps light clove. And there is a hint of cardamom. 91 points.
