NV Niepoort VV Tawny Port

What an amazing wine. Dirk Niepoort told me that this blend was put together by his grandfather, 50% of which is the 1863 vintage and 50% a mixture of wines from the 1900 through 1950 vintage.

The wine has a lot of acidity, very similar to a Madeira. The acidity masked any sweetness that may still be in the wine. The wine went well the pecan pie it was served with due to the acidity.

I don't know if you can predict a lifespan for this wine. Another 50 years? (97 pts.)
