Pristine bottle in single size wooden case. Decanted 4 hours.
Color: Deep and dark. Great young color.
Nose of spearmint gum and sweet home maid raspberry jam. Palate is full and sweet. Some tannin, melding nicely with plenty of red fruit jam and a hint of concord jelly. Some sweet spearmint comes in at the end. This verges on too sweet for me, and the structure is trying valiantly to balance back the weight. I can't see long aging doing this any favors with its heavier, sweet, fruity and forward nature. Considering this was a sub $30 Port at retail in Buffalo, you don't really need it to be. Drink up and enjoy.
