1996 Quinta do Vesuvio vintage port

Post by Rune EG »

Have had three bottles this year, and they show better and better.
Decanted 5 hrs, which seemed to be perfect. Dark red colour with a light brown rim. Aroma is quite heavy with a wonderful mix of ripe fruits (such as red berries and plums/prunes). Full body. Powerful and lovely elegant. Full of ripe fruits, nice tannins, a superb vintage port that lasted to the very end. 95 pts.

Considering this was a tough vintage, that's a great review!
