After almost 80 hours of work in the past week due to the civil unrest I was told I’ve got tomorrow off. Got home late and have cracked a 2005 Niepoort Colheita (b. 2016). Pleasant but hit the spot after more than a week without Port.

Over the weekend had a '95 Vesuvio and '94 Delaforce. There's a little left in the Delaforce for tonight.

We are going to have our first Port Club meeting since March 6 (just before Covid19). This one will be outdoors and tables are set for social distancing--it will be the same yet different as we are usually bunched up. The following are standing up:

1982 Martinez (A leaker)
1980 Gould Campbell
1994 Kopke
1997 Q. do Infantado
2007 Dalva White Colheita
Andresen 10 Year White Tawny

They will be served in pairs, ending with the White Tawnies (they will be slightly chilled). A rather eclectic group, no theme as I imagine we'll be more casual and just want to drink nice things.

I can either give them a 2.5 or 12 hour decant (got to go to work)--what do you think would be preferable??

Looks like fun!

I'd just do 2.5 hours. 12 sounds like too much for most of those, and they'll continue to open up over the evening as you drink them.

The two whites don't really need to be decanted at all.

I opened a bottle of Ferreira 1963 on Friday night. When that ran out on Sunday I opened a bottle of Churchill 20YO Tawny (which is very good!) and have just decanted a bottle of Fonseca 1966 which had started to leak in the last few weeks for our Zoom tasting tonight.

2003 Porto Rocha Vintage Port (half bottle.) Perfect for just me and my wife, since we can finish a half bottle over 2 days. This is drinking well, now, but still has a few more years of aging (my guess: 5-7 years) left in it.

I also just noted that this is the first 'new' Port I have had since October 2018. From then to now, everything I have been drinking have been 'repeats' of other Ports I have already tried. Seems like I need to get more adventurous.

1985 Dow VP. I use to think this vintage was better than it has been the last couple of bottles. Good, but not outstanding. Still on the top half of the vintage, but not a bottle I would go out of my way for any longer. Drank over two days.
