TN: 2011 Quinta do Crasto Tinta Roriz Douro red

Decanted 4 hrs, which is perfect. Dark purple colour. Aroma is really something special. Wonderful fruit and nice combination with minerals and oak (latter in the background). Hint of something smoked. Full body. Taste is powerful and elegant, but still with distinct tannins. Like all the other 2011 Crasto Roriz, also this one is well-structured and has a super acidity/sweetness-balance. Medium to long aftertaste. 93 pts.

I had this wine about a year ago. It's excellent and showing well, but the best days are ahead.
