production?

Post by D Lapassion »

Hello
can we find data concerning the quantities produced annually by the most important brands of port wine?
And, for a given production, can we know the percentage of the different categories (ruby, tawny, vintage, lbv, ....)?
Thanks

The IVDP will have all those numbers aggregated for the entire industry: https://www.ivdp.pt/ And you can probably find the number of cases of VP produced in Roy's tasting notes, in particular when he puts out his vintage reports. But I don't know where you find out how much ruby and reserve ruby a given company makes ...

The do not know where you can get a line by line for each producer. To my knowledge that is not released anywhere.

Some producers release quantities, mostly of rare Ports like old Tawny's and VPs. You'll have to look at each producer's website to try and find it.

I've seen the number of bottles produced and gross revenues per Port Houses. I'm not sure it is available to the public, I'll ask.
