(50% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Petit Verdot, 20% Syrah, 10% Touriga Nacional)
The aroma is less fruity than the prior tasted 2016 Petit Verdot, but has plenty of depth. Dare I say this is Bordeaux-like? Aromas of grape, cherry, dark berry, blackberry, and perhaps boysenberry. There are nice, but not overwhelming tannins. Good acid. This is really nicely balanced. It has good fruit for aging, but it will be fine for drinking in a just a few years as well. 93-94+ points.
