Extermely dark an opaque, similar in this way to the prior tasted 2016 Tinto Reserva, but more magenta/purple in hue. This has a red pepper like in chouriço aroma, along with dark black plum. Like the Tinto Reserva, this is also a tannic bomb, but it is a little more approachable, with decent acid as well. Long finish. There is more of that plum in the flavor, along with currant, and some chocolate in the background. Initially scored 91-92 points, but it improved with some air time to 92-93 points. I also think this one has a lot of potential to improve in the future.
