I love the fact we’re all different. I prefer the Lamelas 10YO White because it’s slightly sweeter than the Mourão and a little more dried mango fruit. I was brought up on dried mango as a snack so just adore anything like that.

I'm honestly not sure which of the three is my favorite - I love them all - but I agree with your description. In addition to the Lamelas showing more mango, I think that the DR has a little more light caramel to it than the other two and probably sits between them on the sweetness scale.

Pocas 30 year-old tawny. These are so good and relatively inexpensive compared to other 30 year-old tawnies. They real sing after a day in the decanter.

I have loved the 1997. Others have raved about the 1998, but that one I've found to be middle of the road. To each his own I guess.

I have loved the 1997. Others have raved about the 1998, but that one I've found to be middle of the road. To each his own I guess.

Actually, it was '98 that I recently had. They all look the same lol. Maybe the Vesuvio profile has fallen out of favor with me a little?

In Moses' defense, the '98 was my least favorite of '94 through '98 that we tasted at Stewart's in October of 2020.

Not sure 93 points counts as "middle of the road" though...

Fonseca Crusted, bottled in 2001. A bottle I bought from a local wine store in 2007 and which had been sitting in my cellar ever since. It was well worth the wait. Medium bodied but so round and smooth, generous fruit but the complexity Vintage Port develops with a little age.
