  With a dark, brooding purple color, this wine has a profusion of primary fruit on the nose, including blackberry, boysenberry, and black plum. The palate, surprisingly young and lively, has chocolate, crushed blue fruits, and well-structured tannins. The long finish is both pleasant and fairly balanced. (91 pts.)
