2011 Bulas vintage port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottled 2017. At the opening of the bottle, it was an extreme number of sediments. The bottle was decanted totally 5.5 hrs. We had to decant it three times because of all the sediments. During the years we have had quite a few bottles that have had two times decanting, but not three like this bottle. Aroma was fruity, including some fruits that were overripe. Deep dark colour, nearly black. However, when serving the port it was some signs of brown. Full body. Smooth from the start, but the overripe fruits took more and more place when drinking the port. Worked well with blue cheese. 85 pts.

Isn't that an LBV? 2011 bottled 2017?
