I have a couple bottles of each in my cellar and was wondering if anyone had tasting notes on these. Anyone have drinking window suggestions?

Raj,

I haven't tasted either of these two wines, but have had 12 different '97s over the past 2 yers. For drinking now, they are a bit mixed. Some (Vesuvio) I thought were really good. Others will clearly be better in 10-20 years.

My personal view - leave them for 10 years if you can.

THanks for the info Alex. I think the Silval is designed to be drank earlier, so was wondering if 10 years is ideal. Have read some that toward 15 years may be better.
