n/v Selected Ruby Port by Burmester

Post by Bjørn Tore Aastorp Ruud »

A lot of dried fruits, not very fresh, kind of plump style.
Full bodied, some dryness in the finish rescues the wine. :(

Bjørn

This is a Ruby port that I have not seen in the UK. How would you compare it and rank it against other ruby ports that you have tried?

Hello Alex.
This Ruby is for me a bad product, because of the poor concentration, theres no life here.
Other is that it has a younger tawny style, and does not have the character of a ruby.
All in all a badly made wine.
Most rubys I try are ok, you get what you pay for. Sometimes I even get very positivly surprised by very good quality.
