1937 Rocha Colheita Port

Post by Scott Anaya »

1937 Porto Rocha (btld in 2000)
Tasted Saturday June 23rd from a half bottle.

A medium amber color. Butterscotch and malt on the nose. A slight malt, butterscotch, and roasted nuts on the palate. Not a stunner, but pretty decent drink with a very long finish of almost two minutes.
The last glass (after about two hours) started showing a higher level of heat. 87 pts.

I also should note that I had a cold during this tasting, so it may have been me that lacked a bit, not the wine!
