Medium amber brown color, subtle nose with hints of maple, dried figs, touch of vanilla. The palate has a dark sweetness, but instead of being simple and cloying, like too many young tawnies, transitions through some nice layers: showing first maple/caramel/toffee, then fig and candied orange peel, and finishing with a long burst of cognac/cinnamon/clove spiciness. A fine Aussie rendition, 92 points.

Regards,
Alan
