Any Port you've had this year that which was not consumed in Portugal qualifies.
So which one and why?

Although not the highest scoring wine I've had, but OMG, how often does one get to try a Port that old. When you think about what was happening in the world at that time...simply amazing.

Thanks!
In this forum I think I just know João Rico and the Douro Lover Frederick Blais. When he went to Niepoort, I was there in a trip with João Rico, and we drank a couple of outrageous wines.
Regards,

I have been fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time on a few occasions this year to be able to try some wonderful ports. Roy's birthday bash was one of those opportunities and so was Linden Wilkie's Noval vs Nacional tasting.
However, I think that my favourite bottle this year was the 1960 Noval that I opened in July this year, expecting a delicate and fading wine well past its peak and declining graciously into its tawny phase.
Instead, I got a vibrant and lively but fully mature wine that had a massive length ... and with Nacional branded on the side of the cork.
Not the best wine this year, nor the best memory but up there with them.

Favourite VPs consumed this year:
Tie: Noval 2003 and JMFonseca & van Zeller 2003 (if you told me these two wines were bottled out of the same pipas I would not be surprised, they were THAT close in quality/taste/etc.)
LBV:
Recently, 1996 Portal LBV (unfiltered, bottled in 2001.)
Too lazy to post TNs, but if you search for any of these above Ports, with Todd Pettinger as the author, you should be able to find them. Perhaps I'll come back tomorrow night and find these links and edit this post for ease of reference for those who care to look at the TNs... for now I'm playing catch-up for missing the last couple of days.

Todd,
I have a strong feeling that your response is going to change in about 3 weeks.
This has been a lot of fun to read so far. Thanks for the great answers.
