1997 Quinta do Castelinho LBV Port

Post by Paul_B »

Full cork, unfiltered, bottled in 2001.
2002 Gold Medal, Bruxelles.
Paid 25$CAD at SAQ

Color:
a aged red table wine, if you get my point. The red has started to lighten, lets call it grenat.

Nose:
Not my strongest sense, so I never have much to say here. Nothing stands out to my weak nose.

Taste:
First taste at 19Cel, immediately after opening. Very nice, melow, alchool is tame and well blended in. So sweet, no tanins when you roll it. After swallowing, then you get some slight "dry" finish. very very nice.

Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
I'll add a few more words over the next few days as the wine changes.

Paul

Thanks for the good note Paul and I'm really interested to hear how it does over time.

This sounds interesting Paul. Wish we saw a few of these lesser-known producers like this in Alberta...
