TNR: 1999 Warre LBV Traditional

has anyone tried this LBV yet? Wondering how it is.

Have not seen it around here yet (surprise surpise)
If and when I do, I would be very likely to pick some up as its older brother the '95 is DELICIOUS!!!

The 1999 is the vintage that is now appearing in the stores in the UK, but I've not tried one yet.

I too just saw it the other day for the first time and realized I didn't recall any mention of it before. Hmm, guess I'll have to grab one and give a proper TN.

I picked up a bottle not too long ago. I liked it and I think it will be as good as the 1995 in a few years.

1999 Warre Porto Late Bottled Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto (11/25/2007)
Dark red. Fuity and grapey. Some chocolate on the nose too. Sweet with balanced acidity. Moderate fine grained tannins. Very primary. Medium length finish with a nice warmth to it. It's ready for drinking now but will easily age 5 or 10 years and may improve.

A week later this is still really good. Some nice cherry fruit on the nose and palate with well integrated alcohol. (89 pts.)

Just wanted to remind everyone that a lot of the Warre's 1995 LBV has just re-entered the marketplace. I paid $24 in New Jersey.

I opened one this evening and will post a TN in due course...but not bad so far
