2000 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port

Very dark with a high nose of plums. The palate has big strong dark fruit. However, the young age is also showing and there was some talk that this is probably just starting to enter its shut down faze. As the tannins were subdued, the acidity was lacking and it just didn't want to give up much of anything. Although I could tell the potential was there. I scored it 91 points at that time, but also scored it 95 points in the future when it comes around.
