1991 Dow Vintage Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Having dinner at a freinds, I took a 1/2 bottle of this for dessert on Wed. I didn't take any formal notes, so I'll just add my impressions.

A bit advance in color for its young age, soft and nearing full maturity. The tannins are almost fully resovled with moderate acidity. The palate isn't very complex but it is a very nice easy drinking VP that was perfect as a light dessert after a heavy dinner. Based on this bottle, I'd say not a long term Port. Start drinking now for max pleasure. I really don't see this getting any better than what it is right now. 89 points.
