The 1983 Offley was extremely dark in the glass with a color similar to young burgundy and black grape. The primary scents were of sweet pastry dough, flowers, and cherries. It was thick and rich in the mouth, with loads of fruit, especially cherries and a bit of blueberry. The '83 Offley really shined at the four and a half decanting mark. It was similar in profile to a Graham or Fonseca. A great Port with tons of aging potential.
