Congratulations Roy on three years of FTLOP! It doesn't seem like it's been that long.
The color is dark red with good concentration of color. It is nearly opaque and looks like it has a lot of life left in it. The nose gives off aromas of dates, figs, and dried cherries. There's a bit of alcohol but not too much. On the palate, the Port is low in acidity with a lush silky mouth feel. The tannins are nicely integrated. Lots of rich fruity flavors. Moderate sweetness. It seems a little better on the palate than on the nose. The finish is interesting and complex with hints of cinnamon and more fruits. Persistent, warm, and comforting. A really nice Port that may improve over the next few years and will certainly drink well for many more. 92 points
