I'm leaving Friday for a Saturday morning arrival. Not looking forward to the early morning Friday airport lines, but sure am looking forward to the trip!

Anyone else with a Saturday arrival looking for some casual Port House visits? Vinologia?

Hi Jay,

We are on the same flight to Porto. Vinologia is already in the plans for Sunday night with a crazy and long lineup coming our way. I am going to rest up through the afternoon and then go out on Sat. night. Might catch up with you and some of the others that are arriving early.

Finally back from the Fair and not yet in proper health, no less in shape for the onslaught. I'll muster it up though. 8--) See you soon!

Stewart and I arrive saturday night about 10pm. So if we're on time we may head out for a glass or two at Vinologia, after that long flight a drink sounds nice. Nothing too late or wild and crazy...at least not yet  I'll try and catch up to you when we get there...Jay email me your cell # and I'll call you when we arrive.

You may want to hang at the Porto Palacio hotel. There is a roof top bar with an outstanding view that is excellent, with cigars and a fine list of Ports by the glass too and that way, you wouldn't have to head into the Ribeira section of Porto, since you'll be arriving so late. SAVE YOUR ENERGY. :salute:

It says you have to be a member bt the website doesn't give any info on how to do that.

On another note, my IPhone has a cool free application that gives you pre programed phrases in Portuguese and it says them out loud the correct way. Totally cool app and will help me with my limited Portuguese.

OK, I'll either rest or go out on my own during the day. For the evening, I'll be in my room or at th bar, look me up if you feel like going somewhere or just enjoying a glass or two at the bar.
