1970 Delaforce Vintage Port

Post by Carlos Rodriguez »

I did try it the 25-oct-08 in Oporto. It was opened 50 min. before. Dark old Rioja color. Strong in nose, but nice. Not very sweet, nice and complex in the mouth, but is a bit hard. Long and nice finish, it last for quite long. One of the best of this visit to Oporto. Is worth to try it.

Carlos,

Welcome to :ftlop: glad to have you join us and thanks for posting, especially some tasting notes, it's ver appreciated. This is a great group and I'm glad you found us.

THanks for posting a TN on this one. It sure isn't a 1970 that you see many, if at all, tasting notes on so thank you.

Where did you visit in Oporto to try this?

They said was their last bottle left. But this port wine bar is in the corner of Rua Sao Joao Novo with Rua do Infante Dom Henrique. Sorry I don't remember it's name, It's got many Port's, it's managed by a french men, and was open from the afternoon till midnight. :) a nice place to visit while you are in Oporto.

Welcome to FTLOP Carlos!
Yes Vinologia. A great place to visit and I always go there whenever I have been in Portugal. It is a favorite watering hole of many :ftlop: members. I highly recommend it to all.
