I decanted this 5 days prior, as I know it needs a longer decant. I didn't take any notes, as this was the last of a long list of Ridge wines that I'll list below. Consumed while enjoying a nice Romeo & Julieta Churchill cigar and hoping the black bear in the nearby woods didn't want to stop by and join us (stupid drunk friends hearing things...but gave us a great laugh :help: ). I took no notes on this but it was a simple and easy to enjoy colheita. No major faults, but it wasn't a blockbuster either. But for the $25/bottle I paid for this almost 2 years ago, it was worth it. A bit cloying and simple, but decent body and medium finish. I didn't score it, but I'd buy a few more for a house colheita if I could get them at that price again.This past weekend some old college buddies and I treked up to the central coast city of Cambria for some major fun and wine tasting in Paso Robles. Since we had access to a car once up there, we decided to take the train up. That way we could start some wine drinking on the way in the comfort of the train. (I must add that many of my notes from this trip were just brief impressions, as I wasn't there to focus on writing TN's.)
