1986 Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port

Post by Carlos Rodriguez »

Decanted 2 hours before. But it did last for 10 hours without any porblem.

Dark cherry red color with visible edge. Concentrated VP aromas showing what are you going to drink. In moouth reminds some fruits, full and witj long lasting.
This is a nice VP softher and less complex then other Guimaraens, that make it easier to match it with food. I did it with roast home made turkey burger in soft cheese sauce, very nice :D .
A good VP that is very easy to drink it now.

Carlos,

Just curious, have you ever tasted the 1967 or 1976 Guimaraens?
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

None of them Roy. I've only tried 80's and 90's. But I'm trying to do it.
