You are a serious wine snob if ...

Post by Roy Hersh »

These should differentiate between a wine snob and wine geek (as in the other thread):

* You walk around a trade tasting resting your wine glass between thumb and index finger ... holding the base of the glass.

* You pay more attention to the "legs" on the inside of your wine glass, than the woman you are with.

* You spend ten minutes perusing the menu in a great restaurant ... AFTER ... a half hour with the wine list.

* You use descriptors with items one would not commonly or willingly, ever smell or eat.

* You use a crystal glass aerator, because you don't "have the time" to decant your bottle.

Please feel free to add your own to this list ...
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

You buy expensive wine/Port to impress people, but without any real knowledge of the wine itself.

You dismiss a wine without tasting it because of the brand/category or vintage it is from
