Tasting notes linked with CellarTracker

Post by Roy Hersh »

In recent discussions with Eric LeVine, a good friend and the brilliant mind that developed CellarTracker the progressive and easy to use software system, we have agreed to collaborate on a tasting note project. There will be a techno-link between our sites so that all of the Port & Madeira tasting notes from here, are visible to the users of Eric's fantastic cellar management tools. By the end of September, this new feature for both websites, will be fully operational.

For those that have never considered using software to manage your wine cellar, there is nothing better out there than CellarTracker(TM). You can take a look around, at http://www.cellartracker.com Enjoy the ride!

I'd like to suggest a change in structure to the TN section of the website.

It may be my inexperience with using message boards, but I find it hard to track down other people's tasting notes for a specific wine.

What would be fabulous is if you could introduce another level to the TN folder on the forum page that represented the year of the vintage. That way anyone posting a TN can post it under the vintage year and it should be easier to find.

Thanks,

Alex

We are getting closer to making the CellarTracker collaboration a reality. By April this will be in place.

We are also working on a data base of tasting notes that would enable the TNs here on the site to be searchable as well. This may take awhile longer ... but it is in the plans!

Fred,

I try to learn from the US government. If the opposite of Pro is Con, then what is the opposite of PROgress? Yep!

So, without change and seeking input and implementation of ideas that are suggested ... this place would not be the success that folks like you have made it to be!
