There will be David S., Andy and Roy and a couple of others who receive the FTLOP newsletter but are too lazy to post except one on occasion ... all sitting and watching the game with hopefully decent seats and the largest crowd ever to watch soccer (football) in WA State's history. Win, lose or draw ... the after party is going to be in the neighborhood of two days in the Douro. Aspirins and water bottles are already being stockpiled.

Too lazy to post because after everything else Roy plied us with about 20 bottles of Port and Madeira last night..oh, and since Stewart got a haul pass for a brief bit from the new Mrs. he got to join in on the late night fun for a short time

I wondered why it had been so quiet here this weekend!!
You lot got slammed, didn't you?

They are vastly exaggerating the 18 bottles the 5 of us had.
The following night we had 32 bottles (4 of which were magnums) ... but there were alot more people, 12 to be exact.

Yes, I believe we set a new standard.
Looking back at my notes, one of the cask samples was my WOTN. Have you guys pulled the bags off of them yet?

Well, Seattle Sounders looked like a junior league team playing against Chelsea on Sat. The rain was unreal as it always rains here the entire summer.
Glenn, don't worry ... the bags are on the bottles and you will find out what's in them, soon enough!

Zowie... what a flight of Ports! Just finished up "Day 4" of the cask samples this afternoon, and I was really surprised at several of the reveals.
You know... even though I've been present for several flights of these cask samples, I really can't wait to see Roy's 2007 Vintage Port report. Now that I've seen him in action I'll have a much better understanding of the full report, and there will no doubt be a few surprises in there!
