NV Quinta do Noval Fine Ruby Port
Tasted 3/26/2010. Decanted 6 hours (Just opened the bottle and let stand). Dark garnet color-not much nose. Good to average but a pretty one dimensional port--it is sweet; young and fresh tasting; it comes straight at you and just hints at being grapey without falling off the edge. Just a little too hot on the finish. OK for an every-dayer. 13/20 points

Any Port in a storm!
Re: Noval Fine Ruby Porto
I was going to complement you on taking the time to portray this basic ruby with a TN which I HONESTLY believe will be looked at many times over the years. However, if I am reading this correctly, you gave this 12 points. Are we to understand this to be based on a 20 point scale? If that is the case, please do go back and put your score in as "12/20 points" or 12 of 20 points. Thanks

Re: Noval Fine Ruby Porto
John,
Thanks for the note on this one. I wish we could get more people to post TN's on these "daily" drinkers that sell more than any other Port worldwide.
While it's been a while since I've last had this Port, your tasting note is similar to how I remember it.
