1st night: The decanter gives up a nice nose of ripe strawberry, fruitcake spice, and cinnamon toast. At 9 hours on, it's balanced with sweet fruit and good integration. Hallmark dark edge on the finish. 2nd night: Black cherries and tobacco on the nose, still fairly sweet with some brutish tannins on the finish. 4th night: A bit sweet and hot tonight, with tannins still packing a wallop. Good staying power and intensity on the dark-toned finish. 89 pts
