I opened it last night, and determined that it really needed time to open up after an initial sip. I didn't decant, but I left the bottle out for awhile before closing it up, knowing I'd be having some tonight. The main flavor that comes to mind is cranberries. It is definitely a tart wine. That said, I really like it. It has a lot of the same profile as Valpolicella, though that wine is more raisiny instead. At $14, this one is a real bargain. I just hated to wait for it to open up, but I know some things are worth waiting for.
