There was one glass of this left from last night so since I didn't take notes on any wines figured I'd check in on it 24 hours later. Yesterday many people liked the wine, but also commented on how young it was and it would be better with more air. I made the mistake of only decanting it about 2 hours, I should have opened it 12 hours before or even the night before. This has put on a lot of weight both on the deep floral nose and the body. The thing that really stands out on this bottle is how the deeply powerful palate, yet it has such finesse and freshness at the same time, all overlaid with drying tannins. While this was very good last night, it's even better tonight and all indicators point to a wine that will have a long life ahead of it. An outstanding job on this first release!
