1977 Sandeman Vintage Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Even though this bottle showed more heat than the last one I had, it still had enough soft lavender and a sweetness up front and on the finish to be enjoyable. Based on the last couple bottles of this I've had from different sources, it is at peak and I don't see it getting any better, yet should hold here for another 3-5 years without issues.

I've had examples that showed mature too, although the one I had in May while visiting Sandeman also showed some heat. Nice elegant Port with some underlying structure in place to continue on for a bit at this level. I had the same score.
