TN: 1983 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 5½ hours - Deep red in colour, with a transparent centre. Sweet raisins on the nose, the alcohol comes through with a swirl, a little unbalanced. A warm entry, slightly hollow and very hot. Fruit comes through with work, but overwhelmingly hot. Dry on the finish, but even the finish is hot although it has good length. Probably would have been much better with more time in the decanter. 87 points
