TN: 1985 Fonseca Vintage Port

Decant: 6 hours - Deep red, still showing as very youthful. Surprisingly grapey on the nose, Very sweet and full of ripe fruit in the mouth, strongly tannic. Air through the port brings out more fruit, still so primary but with firm and ripe tannins. Extremely sweet aftertaste, quite cloying and dominated by the tannins at first. Hugely long and mouthfilling aftertaste. Big port which will be very good. 88 points
