Decant: 4 hours - Crystal clear, light in colour and with an orange rim - almost glowing deep orange. Quite beautiful to look at. Burnt biscuits and dried raisins on the nose, wrapped up in a deep mandarin. Hollow entry, some sweet cranberry in the mid palate and a faint hint that this was once tannic. This gets very hot in the mouth with some aeration. The finish is tinglingly hot, but does eventually fade back to something more pleasant albeit slightly bitter. 83 points
