Decant: 17 hours - Colour has moved to a more brown shade with a distinctly orange rim. Nose is still very dusty, dominated by treacle and toffee but with a lovely raspberry brulee tone. Sweet and smooth into the mouth with a nutty, figgy presence. Still plenty of fruit and some lovely layers of raisins and raspberries. A touch of burn from the alcohol on swallowing, but this goes quickly to leave a moderate length. On this tasting, the wine rated 90/100.
This port was still drinking extremely well 36 hours later (ie. almost 4 days after decanting) when the last glass was thoroughly enjoyed. 90 points
