TN: 1991 Morgan Vintage Port

Decant: 24 hours - Another Morgan '91 opened - I didn't realise it was only 1 month since the last! Deep, rich, Christmas crimson, just transparent on the centre and a hint of paling on the rim. A full and rich nose of redcurrants and cranberries. Dry and structured into the mouth with the acidity holding a firm grip on the fruit and richness of the wine until the gentle tannins start to show through. After plenty of air in the mouth this starts to show the layers and richness promised on the nose. A big aftertaste, dominated by bitter chocolate and dark cherries. This has had 24 hours of air time but will probably be better with another 6-12. 90 points
