TN: 1970 Niepoort Vintage Port

Decant: 9 hours - My original notes have been misplaced so this is written from memory. Ex-cellars via Roy Hersh. A fabulous port with a lovely clarity and attractive red-mahogany colour. A wonderful nose and full body with very thick texture. Masses of fruit on the palate and a very long and enjoyable aftertaste. Fantastic port and my port of the night (although very closely followed by the Vargellas). Drinking beautifully today and will last for a long time yet. NR points
