TN: 1975 Offley Boa Vista Vintage Port

Decant: Pop 'n' pour - From a bottle which showed signs of slight seepage and a cork that was failing slightly; fill level was good. Decanted off a surprising amount of thick and heavy set sediment. Very pale in colour, a light orange - almost the colour of old-fashioned barley sugar. Barley-sugar again on the nose, with perhaps a touch of spirit. Sweet and bland in the mouth with little flavour other than brown sugar. Decent length of brown sugar. An old, tired and thoroughly inoffensive port which should have been drunk 20 years ago. 79 points
