Decant: 2 hours - Intense in colour, crimson even into the rim and totally opaque centre. Very closed on the nose but with a very distinctive spearmint over a blackcurrant and herbaceousness. Frut dominated entry, hugely tannic but with sweet blackcurrants throughout - but those tannins just keep growing and gripping. The aftertaste is dominated by cheek gripping tannins, but the finish is unbelievably big and long. What an amazing wine, one not to miss out on. Potential for a much higher score in 30 years. 94 points
