Decant: 8 hours - Light in colour, pale centre, clearly fully mature. Quite empty on the nose, smelling of slightly mouldy or damp raspberries, described by some as cabbage. Sweet but rustic on the nose and a complete contrast in the mouth, where it is refined and structured. Good balance, if a little on the simple side. Much better than the nose woudl lead you to expect. Slightly harsh on the back of the throat, but once this harshness fades this leaves a tannic dryness that is quite enjoyable. 84 points
